It's April! March was amazing blog wise! Got some amazing comments, emails, and some amazing links!
The Oregonian linked a post and you can now reach Not on the Guest List via BrooklynVegan and Ireland.com! The Ireland.com linking really means alot because their blog roll isn't all that big and the company that Not on the Guest List is in is thrilling!
April will hopefully be full of exciting posts cos there are a million concerts coming through, a couple interviews, and a couple guest mixes!
NotGL is averaging over a thousand visitor a week which is a lot to me!
Without further ado, here is this month's podcast which is more of a indie-electro-hip-hop mix:

'Atlantis To Interzone' (Metronomy Remix) - Klaxons
Ummm. . . How does Metronomy continue to get even more brilliant with every remix he creates? Seriously!?! I believe this replaces his remix of Sebastien Tellier's 'La Ritournelle' as my fave remix of all time by anyone. There is so much immediacy and emotion in it that really starts kicking in just before the one minute mark.

'That Boy That Girl' - Hadouken!
Canadian MC Cadence Weapon is a fanboy for Hadouken!. I'm a fangirl. Listen to their lyrics! They are such accurate dipictions-you can totally see the Hoxton he's rhyming about. This band of do-it yourselfers only get better-whether it be their remixes or original tracks. I was tempted to include their remix of 'Atlantis To Interzone', but thought that may be 'Atlantis To Interzone' remix overload for one podcast. Expect an interview here sometime in the near future.

'Fancy Footwork' - Chromeo
I missed them by minutes when they opened for Bloc Party in Edinburgh in '05. I LOVE 'Needy Girl', but other than that, have never been a real Chromeo type of girl. 'Fancy Footwork' has changed that. Am now super excited for the new album.
They'll be touring this July in North America.

'More Is Enough' - Epic Man Featuring Plan B
Paul Epworth aka Phones aka Epic Man used to be managed by Annette Russell (also manager of Hot Chip), but he just switched to Empire home to Lily Allen and the Bedingfields. He was repped by her for a while and the stories behind what led to the switch are always interesting.

'System' - Lo-Fi-Fnk
Their best live song, but this is the studio version.

'Where There's a Will There's a Whalebone' - Islands
Busdriver, who guests on this track, is on tour with CocoRosie. He plays the same night as Kings of Leon, so I'm still undecided as to which gig I'll go to. Myspace had his entire new album up for preview about a month ago. It is AMAZING. I didn't think it was going to be something I dig so much, but it is.

'URAQT' - M.I.A.
Am I the only one hoping she adds more tour dates? It's a shame she'll be in the NW at the end of May and the only chance to see her is to trek up to Washington for Sasquatch. I really hope hope hope she adds a Portland (or even Seattle) warm-up date.
The lines in this song are so great-"Is your dad a dealer?, cos youre dope to me" and "Tighter than R Kelly and his teens" are two of my favorite.

'Thou Shalt Always Kill (live on Xfm)' - Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip
Apparently this is all over radio in the UK and rightfully so.

'A Walk In The Dark/Reprise' - Whitey
First heard him while tuning into the radio on a very storming night in Glasgow. While he wrote and performed his album himself, live he has a band. He's touring all over the US during the month of April and in Portland on the 11th. Apparently dated Lindsay Lohan. That's gross.
