Apple maintains its claim to producing “Gorgeous Desktop Computers”

Those who have followed the Mac series in the last few years may think that Apple has largely given up on desktop computers. It’s been over a year since the release of the latest iMac series. While it has not been updated since the Mac mini 2014, it has not been touched in Mac Pro since 2013, when the design changed.

This brings to mind the question, “Do not Apple think about those who need more than a laptop computer?” The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, replies, “Yes, we are thinking.” Cook noted that desktop computers are still important in sharing an in-house forum, and that the company has “gorgeous desktop computers” on the road map.

Tim Cook’s reasoning for the importance of desktop computers is not surprising to the ear. Since portability is not a concern, it is possible to focus more on performance on desktop computers. Thus, a larger screen, more inputs and more raw power can be placed in the device. According to Cook, sometimes this difference can be “vital” for the users.

Apple is stepping on Intel desktop roadmap

Apple has not yet given a concrete indication that it will give up desktop PC production. But the fact that the company does not seem to be willing to renew the desktop products has given rise to some questions. It should also be noted that Apple’s work in this area is linked to Intel’s roadmap. It is known that Intel’s 7th generation Core processors will not be ready for desktop format until next January. This prevents Apple from renewing iMac processors before January. For Mac mini and Mac Pro, it is not possible to talk about such a situation.

Despite Tim Cook’s explanation, some issues with Apple’s desktop products remain unclear. It is not known exactly which desktop products are part of Apple’s future plans. In addition, it is also wondered whether the criticisms will be taken into consideration in the revisions to be made in the products.

The lightest 13-inch laptop on the market from Samsung

Samsung has updated its Notebook 9 laptop with its slim and light design. The new Notebook 9, a more powerful version of this computer introduced at the CES Fair that we just passed, is powered by Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake i5 or i7 processors.

The computer, which has a more curved cousin than its predecessor, comes with two different display options, 13.3 inches and 15 inches. The 13.3-inch model is one of the lightest 13-inch notebooks on the market, weighing in at 816 grams. With a full HD resolution display that can be laid out 180 degrees, ease of use is provided by Micro Arc Oxidation rigidity technology that provides resistance to impact.

The computer, which can be used for up to 7 hours when the battery is fully charged, supports fast charging technology and can be used for 2.1 hours with a 20 minute charge. The fingerprint sensor, USB-C connection, 720p camera and two 1.5-watt speakers are among the other features offered by the computer. It is not yet known when and how the new Samsung Notebook 9 will be available for sale.
